POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY:
Thomsen Homes is a rapidly expanding residential general contractor in the FM area. We are currently seeking an ambitious and experienced Purchasing and Project Estimating Manager who shares our core values of integrity, drive, innovation, loyalty and is family oriented. The position will report to the Director of Design & Client Relations and work with the purchasing/project estimating team to maintain budgets, purchase materials, approve invoices, and analyze data.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Manage team responsible for fulfilling purchasing and project estimating requests
- Ensure on time delivery of Purchase Orders for active jobs
- Maintain house budgets
- Invoice review and approval
- Customer Selection and Option Pricing
- Review and update house addendums
- Maintain relationships with subs/vendors
- Facilitate yearly bidding process
- New house plans and elevation option pricing
- Analysis for costs of goods sold
- Create business forecasting
- Final project review prior to close
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Excellent leadership skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Residential construction knowledge and understanding of best practices
- Purchasing best practices
- Strong relationship building
- Ability to multitask
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with Revit and AutoCAD for plan takeoffs
- Driven to complete tasks
- 5 years of experience in a related position
