Why we chose Thomsen Homes
Initially we started looking at homes because interest rates were so low. After looking for several months, we just weren’t finding what we were looking for. At that point, we knew we wanted to build. From there I started researching different options.
Thomsen Homes had several lots that we liked and a floor plan that was functional and worked for our family, but I think the biggest thing was that they were affordable. There weren’t many other builders that could provide the amenities that Thomsen Homes could for the same price.
Why we love our home
We love the glass railing on the staircase. It really opens up the foyer and adds a modern element to the space. We also love our fireplace. It’s so cozy in the winter and I’d love to someday take the brick all the way up to the ceiling to make it even more of a focal point.
We love that we were able to make changes to the master bathroom. We modified the design to make it bigger. Now we can both get ready without getting in each other’s way.
We love the cabinets in the kitchen. The designer spent a lot of time working with us to make sure that they were exactly what we wanted. We have a ton of storage for everything we need but they still look cool!

The Thomsen Homes team was great to work with. From the start, they were willing to make the design and floorplan changes we wanted.
Our designer worked hard to find us options that would fit within our budget. I had a big binder of ideas for the kitchen and our designer went through all of my ideas and worked to make the entire plan a reality and at a price we could afford.
As first-time home buyers on a limited budget, we didn’t really know what to expect or how much everything would cost. Everyone at Thomsen Homes was patient with us and worked very hard to deliver the details we wanted within our budget.
